Boiler Suits

I love this trend. I own so many jumpsuits and love the ease of wearing an all in oner. Boiler Suits are having a particular moment and are great day to night outfits. BUT, they can be very hard to wear as they typically come with a very pronounced waistband. Like these beauties:

If you have a waist you can shop this shape with abandon. However, if you carry weight around your middle or are conscious of your bum / hips, then this shape can add weight and accentuate the bumps you are trying to conceal. Personally, I would look like a stuffed sausage in the above three.

People tell me almost weekly that they can’t wear jumpsuits because they’re too short / wide / self conscious. The answer is you can. You just need to tailor it to your shape. Drop me a line if you have any specific questions or concerns and I can steer you in the right shopping direction.

Meanwhile, here’s a selection of Boiler Suits that are an ideal cut for EVERY shape. Note the column shape and dropped waists.

Holly Willoughby’s soft cotton option is very wearable. She wears it in a slim fit but I would wear it slightly oversized.
